Project Genesis Farm was established in the late 90's by Don Hanson and David and Paula Mahowan.
The land ( 81 Rai) mostly flat and irrigated from permanent cheek and dam was purchased in Thaton so that a small farm and orphange for Shan boys could be built. They only own a small part of the whole property but as they are buying it a section at a time the vendor is permitting them to grow crops on the land.
Over the years this work has increased to also incorporate a girls orphange.
